At Guadalajara, Mexico:
In Wednesday's second game of the CONCACAF Champions League Final, after dropping a 2-1 regulation decision at home to Toronto FC (thanks to goals from Jozy Altidore and Sebastian Giovinco), thus squaring the series at 3-3 on aggregate (and with overtime dispensed with), Chivas de Guadalajara, with spot kicks successfully converted by Oswaldo Alanis, Jose de Jesus Godinez, Alan Pulido, and Angel Zaldivar, won the penalty-kick shootout 4-2 to win their first continental club championship since 1962 (their second overall) and will represent CONCACAF in December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to be contested in the United Arab Emirates.
