At Al Ain:
Tomas Rogic successfully converted a penalty kick in the third minute of second-half stoppage time for the game-winning goal as Australia defeated Syria 3-2 to lock up a berth in the knockout stage and eliminating the Syrians from the tournament in the process.
At Abu Dhabi:
Palestine and Jordan, who had already locked up a berth in the Round of 16, battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
The Palestinians are still alive for a knockout-stage berth given to the any of the four third-placed teams with the best records.

2. Australia (GP: 3; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
3. Palestine (GP: 3; GD: -3; PTS: 2)

Jordan and Australia advanced to the knockout stage; pending the outcomes of games scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, Palestine is still alive for a knockout-stage berth.
