CONCACAF Gold Cup: Team USA To Get Another Shot At Panama In Semis
At Washington:
The quarterfinal round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup concluded with two games played on Sunday.
In the opener, Jermaine Jones (49') and Clint Dempsey (80') provided the scoring that carried the United States to a 2-0 win over Jamaica.
In the nightcap, Luis Tejada's 89th-minute equalizer forced the match to go into what turned out to be 30 scoreless minutes of overtime. In the ensuing penalty-kick shootout, Nelson Barahona, Luis Renteria, Anibal Godoy, Amilcar Henriquez Espinoza, and, yes, Luis Tejeda, all converted their spot kicks as Panama defeated El Salvador 5-4 in the shootout.

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Chicarito Helps Lead Mexico Into Semis; Honduras Wins PK Shootout To Advance

In the nightcap, Javier Hernandez scored the winning goal in the 66th minute as Mexico came from behind to topple Guatemala 2-1.
