At Moscow:
In Sunday's championship game of the FIFA World Cup, contested at Luzhniki Stadium, goals from Mario Mandzukic (OG-18'), Antoine Griezmann (PK-38'; the first title-game penalty kick to be awarded following a video review), Paul Pogba (59'), and Kylian Mbappe (65'; that's him, celebrating with teammates after scoring his insurance goal) carried France to their second World Cup title (their first since 1998) 4-2 over Croatia.
Ivan Perisic (28') and the aforementioned Mario Mandzukic (69') each scored once for the Blazers, who capped off their best tournament appearance.
Les Blues joined Italy, Uruguay, Germany, Brazil, and Argentina as the only countries to win the title at least twice.
At Saint-Denis, France:
Despite playing the last 95 minutes without Cristiano Ronaldo (who exited the match in the 25th minute with a knee injury), Portugal, with Eder (seen here) scoring the winning goal in the 109th minute, knocked off hosts France 1-0 in overtime on Sunday to win their first European Championship and first-ever major title.
The Portuguese will play in next year's FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia as a result.

At Istanbul, Turkey:
After Saturday's FIFA Under-20 World Cup championship match went through 120 scoreless minutes, Paul Pogba, Jordan Veretout, Axel Ngando, and Dimitri Foulquier all converted their spot kicks as France won the penalty-kick shootout 4-1 over Uruguay. The Little Blues won their first Under-20 world title.
Here's a look at the French clubs that will be taking part in European tournaments next season---and who's moving up and going down from that country's top three divisions.
