A goal in the final minutes by Victor Cordero lifted Saprissa a 1-1 home draw with defending champions Pachuca in the opening game of the championship final of the final edition of the CONCACAF Champions Cup on Wednesday.
The series finale will take place next Wednesday at Pachuca, Mexico.
