Dwayne De Rosario scored twice in the second half (47', 64') as Toronto FC came from behind to spoil Jaime Moreno's MLS farewell (he scored his 133rd career league goal at 38 minutes) as they defeated hosts DC United 3-2.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Birahim Diop delivered his first career MLS hat trick (36', 61', 76') as the Kansas City Wizards, in their final home game at Community America Ballpark before moving to a soccer-specific stadium next season, dominated the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 4-1.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Two goals from Alvaro Saborio, first at 90 minutes, than during second-half stoppage time, enabled Real Salt Lake to erase a two-goal deficit and gain a 2-2 road draw with the Colorado Rapids in a battle of playoff-bound clubs.  Omar Cummings (16') and Conor Casey (50') each scored a goal for the Rapids.  The draw extended RSL's unbeaten streak to fourteen games.

MLS: Wondo's Hat Trick Sinks Goats

At Santa Clara, California:

Chris Wondolowski's second-half hat trick (PK-54', 59', 70') busted open what had been a scoreless stalemate as the San Jose Earthquakes defeated visiting Chivas USA 3-0 in the lone Wednesday Major League Soccer contest. 

CONCACAF Champions League: Monterrey Blank Marathon; Olimpia and Toluca Reach Quarterfinals, Islanders Eliminated

Three more games were played on Wednesday in CONCACAF Champions League group stage action.

Group C:

At San Pedro Sula, Honduras:

Sergio Santana scored the game's lone goal at 69 minutes as Monterrey defeated CD Marathon 1-0 on the road.

FINAL GROUP G STANDINGS:

2. Deportivo Saprissa (GP: 6; GD: +4; PTS: 10)

Roger Rojas scored twice in the second half (53', 77') as CD Olimpia laid claim to the Group D title with a 3-0 beatdown of the visiting Puerto Rico Islanders, eliminating the USSF D2 Pro League club from the tournament.

Lionel Messi scored both goals (19', 90', that's him celebrating) as Barcelona blanked visiting FC Copenhagen 2-0.

Group B action in the UEFA Champions League continued on Wednesday.

At Lyon, France:



Lyon continued their perfect start to their group stage campaign with a 2-0 home win over SL Benfica.  Jimmy Briand (21') and Lisandro Lopez (51') each scored a goal for the hosts.  Here is the Eagles' Nicolas Gaitan being shown the red card by referee Alberto Mallenco while Lyon's Cris looks on in approval.
