At Rades, Tunisia:
Thanks to goals courtesy of Youssef Msakni (52') and Wajdi Bouazzi (90'), Esperance ST defeated visiting Al-Hilal 2-0 on Saturday in the second match of their two-game CAF Champions League semifinal series, enabling the Tunisian club to take the series 3-0 on aggregate.
Esperance ST will be playing in their second straight CAF Champions League final. They lost to TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of the Congo 6-1 on aggregate last year. The Tunisian club last won the continental club championship in 1994, defeating Egypt's Zamalek SC 3-1 on aggregate.
Esperance ST will face the Wydad Casablanca-Enyimba winner (with the former leading 1-0 after game one) in the two-match final which will start sometime between November 4 and 6 at the home of the Wydad Casablanca-Enyimba winner, with the return match to take place the following weekend in Tunisia. The winner of the two-match final would advance to December's FIFA Club World Cup tournament, which will take place in Japan.
