At Barcelona:

Goals from Craig Bellamy (43') and John Arne Riise, pictued here (© AFP) (74'), paced Liverpool to a come-from-behind 2-1 road victory over defending cupholders FC Barcelona in the opening game of the clubs' two-game home-and-away total-goals set.

At Rome:

At Porto:

In the series opener for both clubs, guests Chelsea and FC Porto battled to a 1-1 draw.
