FC Rubin Kazan, thanks to goals from Aleksandr Ryazantsev (2', that's him celebrating) and Gokdeniz Karadeniz (73') knocked off defending champs FC Barcelona 2-1 on the road.
At Milan, Italy:
Inter Milan salvaged a 2-2 home draw with Dynamo Kiev. The hosts got goals from Dejan Stankovic (35') and Walter Samuel (47') while the visiting club from the Ukrainian capital got their goals courtesy of Taras Mikhalik (5') and Lucio (OG-40').
