Europa League: Group Stage Play Reaches Midway Point

24 games were played on Thursday as group stage action in the Europa League reached the halfway point.

At Manchester, England:

Emmanuel Adebayor's hat trick (13', 25', 73') provided all the scoring as Manchester City defeated visiting Lech Poznan 3-1.

At Wals-Siezenheim, Austria:

Milos Krasic's equalizer at 48 minutes enabled Juventus to hold hosts Red Bull Austria to a 1-1 deadlock. Dusan Svento scored at 36 minutes for the hosts.

Orlando Engelaar (40') and Jonathan Reis (66') provided the goalpower that enabled PSV Eindhoven to come from behind on the road and top Debreceni VSC 2-1.

Frederic Kanoute's goal at 34 minutes provided all the scoring as Sevilla defeated FC Kapaty Lviv 1-0 on the road.

Even without Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard, Liverpool still grabbed a point on the road with their 0-0 stalemate with Napoli.
