CAF Champions League: Enyimba, Esperance ST, TP Mazembe, Wydad Casablanca Advance To Round of 16

Seven more teams advanced to the CAF Champions League's Round of 16 on Sunday.


At Aba, Nigeria:


Victor Barnabas (PK) and Josiah Madubuchi (90') provided the scoring as Enyimba defeated US Bitam 2-0 in game two and took out the Gabonese club 2-1 on aggregate.


At Algiers, Algeria:


Brahim Bedbouda scored twice (41', 90') as MC Alger bounced back from their game-one 3-1 defeat in Zimbabwe and blanked visiting Dynamos FC 3-0 in game two, and with the score 4-4 on aggregate, advanced on away goals.


At Cotonau, Benin:


Despite dropping a 2-0 game-two decision on the road, Tunisia's Esperance ST still advanced by winning their two-game series 5-2 on aggregate.


At Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania:


Dioko Kaluyituka scored twice (64', 72') as TP Mazembe defeated Simba SC 3-2 on the road in game two and won their two-match set 6-3 on aggregate.


At Kano, Nigeria:


A 0-0 stalemate on the road in game two proved to be good enough for Wydad Casablanca as the Moroccan club won their two-game series with Kano Pillars FC 2-0 on aggregate.


At Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso:


Nabil Hamani scored twice (29', 83') as ES Setif took game two, 4-3 on the road, against ASFA Yennenga and won their series 6-3 on aggregate.


At Garoua, Cameroon:


Joel Babanda (35') and Hilare Momi (80') each scored once as Cotonsport blanked visiting AS Club Vista 2-0 in game two and won their series 3-0 on aggregate.
