Martin Crossa scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute on Sunday as Racing Club de Montevideo closed out their Uruguayan Primera Division Clausura campaign with a four-match unbeaten run (three wins and a draw), capped off by a 1-0 home win over Cerro. The Racinguistas will finish in tenth place in the league's Clausura standings (Defensor Sporting won the crown).
On aggregate for the full season, Apertura and Clausura, Racing will finish tenth overall.
Nacional, who won the Apertura title, and Defensor Sporting, the Clausura titlists, will compete in the group stage for next year's Copa Libertadores, while Penarol, who finished third during both halves and finished second for the full season, will take part in the qualifying round.
