England and France battled to a 1-1 stalemate.  Joleon Lescott (shown here) scored for the Three Lions in the 30th minute, only to see Samir Nasri equalized for the French at 39 minutes.


At Kiev:





Andriy Shevchenko scored twice (55', 62', the second goal shown here) as co-hosts Ukraine came from behind to upend Sweden 2-1.
