The FIFA World Cup's Round of 16 concluded on Tuesday with two games contested in Brazil.
At Sao Paulo:
Angel di Maria, shown here celebrating, scored the only goal of the match in the 118th minute as Argentina defeated Switzerland 1-0 in overtime.
At Salvador:
After 90 minutes of scoreless regulation, Kevin De Bruyne (93', that's him celebrating here) and Romelu Lukaku (105') provided the overtime goals as Belgium held off the United States 2-1. Sub Julian Green provided the Americans' lone goal in the 107th minute as Team USA fell in overtime in the Round of 16, as was the case against Ghana four years ago in South Africa. A heroic effort by US goalkeeper Tim Howard, who made a World Cup single-game record 15 saves, earned him the designation as Man of the Match.
