Benny Feilhaber scored the winning goal in the third minute of second-half stoppage time as Sporting Kansas City defeated the Columbus Crew 2-1 on the road.
At Toronto:
Jermain Defoe's penalty kick in the 64th minute lifted Toronto FC to a 1-1 home draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Darren Mattocks tallied for the Caps in the 50th minute.
At Carson, California:
Robbie Keane (10', 78') and Gyasi Zardes (18', 48') each scored twice (once in each half) as the Los Angeles Galaxy demolished the visiting New England Revolution 5-1.
