Mario Gotze scored the only goal in the 113th minute (shown here as he beats goalkeeper Sergio Romero) on Sunday as Germany defeated Argentina 1-0 in overtime to win their fourth FIFA World Cup title, their first in 24 years (and their first since reunification). The Germans became the first European side to win the title in the Americas and they knocked out the Argentinians in three straight World Cups.
