Europa League Qualifying

29 games were played on Thursday as the third round of Europa League qualifying concluded.


At Kazan, Russia:


Oleg Kuzmin scored in the 86th minute to lift Rubin Kazan to a 1-1 game-two draw with visiting Sturm Graz and a 4-3 aggregate series victory and a berth in the playoff round.

At Baku, Azerbaijan:

A 0-0 game-two deadlock on the road was good enough for Athletic Bilbao as the Spanish club won their series with Inter Baku 2-0 on aggregate.


At Baku, Azerbaijan:


Javid Huseynov's successful penalty kick in the 80th minute lifted Gabala to 1-0 game-two home win over Apollon Limassol and a 2-1 aggregate series win over the Cypriot club.


At Nicosia, Cyprus:


Teemu Pukki scored twice (2', 39') as Brondby gained a 2-2 game-two road draw with Omonia and, with that same score on aggregate, won the series on away goals.


At Poltava, Ukraine:


William Alves de Oliveira scored the series-winning goal at the tail end of the second overtime period (120'+2) as MSK Zilina, after being blanked in regulation time of game two, 2-0 on the road, managed, with each team scoring once in overtime, and with the overall aggregate score at 3-3, still eliminated Vorskla Poltava on away goals. 


At Istanbul, Turkey:


Markus Henriksen (21') and Joris Van Overeem (75') each scored once as AZ Alkmaar defeated Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 on the road in game two and took the series 4-1 on aggregate.


At Trondheim, Norway:


Alexander Soderlund (27'), Mike Jensen (40'), and Matthias Vilhjalmsson (86') each scored once as Rosenborg downed visiting Debreceni VSC 3-1 in game two and ousted the Hungarian club 6-3 on aggregate.


At Gothenburg, Sweden:


A 0-0 game-two road stalemate with IFK Gothenburg was good enough for Belenenses as the Portuguese club won their series 2-1 on aggregate.


At Skien, Norway:


Olivier Occean (27') and Chukwuma Akabueze (71') provided the scoring as Odds BK overturned their series-opening road defeat with a 2-0 game-two home blanking of Elfsborg and eliminated the Swedish club 3-2 on aggregate.


At Netanya, Israel:


David Pavelka (33'), Josef Sural (44'), and Marek Bakos (52') each scored once as Slovan Liberec blanked Ironi Kiryat Shmona 3-0 on the road in game two and won their series 5-1 on aggregate.

At Trabzon, Turkey:

After dropping a 1-0 decision on the road to Trabzonspor in regulation time, and seeing their series with the Turkish club deadlocked at 1-1 on aggregate, forcing overtime, FK Rabotnicki, Kire Markoski scoring in the 112th minute, still won their two-match series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Drammen, Norway:

Mijo Caktas (55') and Franck Ohandza (77') each scored once as Hajduk Split delivered a second 2-0 victory over Stromgodset, this time on the road, and finished off the Norwegian club 4-0 on aggregate.

At Brest, Belarus:

After Amine Chermiti's goal in the fourth minute paced FC Zurich to a 1-0 road win in regulation of the second match, squaring the series at 1-1 on aggregate, Fatos Beciraj scored the winning goal in overtime (118') as FC Dinamo Minsk took the series with the Swiss club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Larnaca, Cyprus:

Isaac Kiese Thelin scored the only goal of the match in the 29th minute as FC Girondins de Bordeaux defeated AEK Larnaca 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Vaduz, Liechtenstein:

Marco Rojas (38') and Roman Buess (65') each scored a goal as FC Thun gained a 2-2 game-two road draw with FC Vaduz and, with that same score on aggregate, advanced to the playoff round of away goals.

At Copenhagen, Denmark:

Tomas Wagner (14'), Jan Gregus (53'), and Martin Pospisil (83') provided the scoring as FK Baumit Jablonec defeated FC Copenhagen 3-2 on the road in game two and, with the aggregate score at 3-3, advanced on away goals.

At Saint-Etienne, France:

Despite dropping a 2-1 game-two decision to ASA 2013 Targu Mures, Saint-Etienne still won their series with the Romanian club 4-2 on aggregate.

At Kiev, Ukraine:

In a match played at the Ukrainian capital due to the unstable situation in the eastern part of that country, Zeljko Ljubenovic scored twice (58', PK-68') as Zorya Luhansk dominated visiting Charleroi 3-0 in game two and took out the Belgian club 5-0 on aggregate.

At Arnhem, Netherlands:

Graziano Pelle (4') and Sadio Mane (89') each scored a goal as Southampton blanked Vitesse Arnhem 2-0 on the road and won their series 5-0 on aggregate.

At Athens:

Marcelo Leite Pereira (a.k.a. Marcelinho) scored the only goal of the match in the 67th minute as Atromitos defeated visiting AIK 1-0 and ousted the Swedish club 4-1 on aggregate.

At Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Jelle Van Damme scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minute as Standard Liege defeated FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Giurgiu, Romania:

Constantin Budescu scored twice in a four-minute first-half span (32', 36') as FC Astra Giurgiu upended visiting West Ham United 2-1 in game two and eliminated the English club 4-3 on aggregate.

At Bratislava, Slovakia:

Pavel Mamayev scored twice (PK-8', 11') in the first quarter-hour as FC Krasnodar withstood Robert Vittek's second-half hat trick (54', 60', 77') and gained a 3-3 game-two road draw with FC Slovan Bratislava and on their series 5-3 on aggregate.

At Zlate Moravce, Slovakia:

Dimitris Konstantinidis scored the series-winning goal in the 48th minute as PAOK FC gained a game-two 1-1 road deadlock with Spartak Trnava and won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Dortmund, Germany:

Henrikh Mkhitaryan delivered a natural hat trick (73', 82', 86') as Borussia Dortmund destroyed visiting Wolfsberger AC 5-0 in game two and finished off their Austrian guests 6-0 on aggregate.

At Aberdeen, Scotland:

Gerard Gohou's goal in the 59th minute enabled FC Kairat to gain a 1-1 game-two road draw with Aberdeen and win their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Novi Sad, Serbia:

Despite dropping a 2-0 game-two home decision to Sampdoria, FK Vojvodina still won their series with the Italian club 4-2 on aggregate.

At Warsaw, Poland:

Michal Kucharczyk scored the game's lone goal in the 47th minute as Legia Warsaw defeated visiting Kukesi 1-0 in game two and won their series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Guimaeres, Portugal:

Philipp Netzer (31'), Pedro Correia (OG-59'), Boris Prokopic (63'), and Andreas Lienhart (90'+3) each scored a goal as Rheindorf Altach dominated Vitoria de Guimaeres 4-1 on the road in game two and won their series 6-2 on aggregate.
