At Frisco, Texas:
Robbie Keane scored twice (51', 56') as the Los Angeles Galaxy seized top spot in the Western Conference standings following their 3-1 road victory over FC Dallas.
At Sandy, Utah:
Nat Borchers haunted his former team as he scored the game winner in the fifth minute of second-head stoppage time with his noggin as the Portland Timbers knocked off Real Salt Lake 1-0 on the road.
