MLS: Timbers Snap Three-Game Skid, Double-Up Caps In Cascadia Cup Clash; Late Equalizer Gain Road Draw Vs. Galaxy For Quakes

Two games were contested in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Portland, Oregon:

Diego Valeri (PK-4'), Jack McInerney (29'), Dairon Asprilla (PK-78'), and Darlington Nagbe (82') each scored once as the Portland Timbers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-2 Cascadia Cup home win over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

At Carson, California:

Fatai Alashe's equalizer in the 87th minute lifted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 California Classico road draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy.  Marvell Wynne's own goal in the 83rd minute produced the Galaxy's score
