In a contest that saw both clubs reduced to ten men due to red-card ejections, Clint Dempsey (PK-6'; ejected in the 33rd minute), Andreas Ivanschitz (18'), Jordan Morris (22'), Joevin Jones (61'), and Cristian Roldan (73') each scored once as the Seattle Sounders destroyed visiting---and league-leading---FC Dallas (who lost Maynor Figueroa to a red-card ejection for his penalty-area handball that set up the Deuce's PK) 5-0.
At Portland, Oregon:
Ignacio Piatti's 44th-minute equalizer lifted the Montreal Impact to a 1-1 road draw with the Portland Timbers, who ran their MLS unbeaten streak to eight games. Jack McInerney scored for the hosts in the 14th minute.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
Justin Glad (OG-34') and Cristian Techera (37') each scored once as the Vancouver Whitecaps blanked visiting Real Salt Lake 2-0.
