The CAF Champions League's semifinal round concluded on Saturday with two games.
At Rabat, Morocco:
Basem Morsy (36') and Stanley Ohawuchi (81') each scored once as Zamalek, despite dropping a 5-2 game-two road decision to Wydad Casablanca, still ousted the Moroccan club 6-5 on aggregate. The Egyptian club will be playing in their seventh Champions League final, having won it five times in their six previous efforts, their most recent title (and finals appearance) having taken place in 2002.
At Pretoria, South Africa:
Anthony Laffor (5') and Percy Tau (64') each delivered a goal as Mamelodi Sundowns overturned their series-opening road defeat with a 2-0 home triumph in game two against ZESCO United and won their series 3-2 on aggregate. For the South African club, this will be their second appearance in the Champions League final, having coming up on the short end in 2001 against Egypt's Al-Ahly.
The two-match final will open in three weeks.
