At Frisco, Texas:
Maximiliano Urruti scored twice (15', 61'), Matt Hedges (40') and Mauro Diaz (PK-45'+3; he assisted on the other three goals) once each as FC Dallas won their first piece of silverware since 1997 by doubling up on the visiting New England Revolution 4-2 on Tuesday night to win their second Lamar Hunt US Open Tournament championship. Juan Agudelo (6', 73') scored both of the Revs' goals.
The Hoops' second Open Cup title (the other came in 1997) clinched for them a berth in the group stage of the 2017-18 CONCACAF Champions League.
