UEFA Champions League, Group A: Two-Draw Tuesday

Seven of a scheduled eight games were played on Tuesday (the Group C Manchester City-Borussia Monchengladbach contest in England was postponed due to lousy weather) as the group stage of the UEFA Champions League commences.  Two of the contests were played in Group A.

At Paris:

Alexis Sanchez delivered his 78th-minute equalizer (shown here) to lift Arsenal to a 1-1 road draw with Paris Saint-Germain.  Edinson Cavani scored in the opening minute for the hosts.

At Basel, Switzerland:

Renato Steffen scored in the 79th minute to enable FC Basel to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Ludogorets Razgrad.  Jonathan Cafu scored for the Bulgarian club in the 45th minute.  Here's Basel's Taulant Xhaka (left) battling Ludogorets' Wanderson for the ball.
