Three games were on the CONCACAF Champions League's first-round agenda for Wednesday.
At Guadalajara, Mexico:
Oswaldo Alanis opened the scoring in the 46th minute as Chivas de Guadalajara scored all of their goals in the second half en route to a 5-0 plundering of visiting Cibao FC in game two as the Goats completed their two-match domination of the club from the Dominican Republic 7-0 on aggregate.
At Frisco, Texas:
Edwin Aguilar (15') and Jesus Gonzalez (44') each scored a goal as Panama's Tauro FC, despite dropping a game-two 3-2 road decision to FC Dallas, still (with the aggregate score at 3-3) won their series on away goals.

The second half of the opening round of this year's CONCACAF Champions League is set to open with three games.

Enner Valencia scored twice (49', 79') as Tigres defeated visiting Herediano 3-1 in game two and eliminated the Costa Rican club 5-3 on aggregate.

A game-two 0-0 home draw with AEK Athens was good enough for Dynamo Kiev as the Ukrainian club, with the aggregate score at 1-1, advanced to the Round of 16 on away goals.
At Saint Petersburg, Russia:
Branislav Ivanovic (8'), Daler Kuzyayev (27'), and Aleksandr Kokorin (61') each scored once as Zenit Saint Petersburg more than overturned their series-opening defeat by dominating visiting Celtic 3-0 in game two and took out the Bhoys 3-1 on aggregate.
At Leipzig, Germany:
Despite dropping a 2-0 game-two home decision to Napoli, RB Leipzig, with the aggregate score at 3-3, still won their series with the Italian club on away goals.

Copa Libertadores Qualifying
The playoff round of the Copa Libertadores continued on Wednesday with two games.
At Montevideo, Uruguay:
Matias Zunino scored the series-winning goal in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time as Club Nacional defeated visiting Banfield 1-0 in game two and knocked out the Argentinian club 3-2 on aggregate.
The Uruguayan club will be joined in Group Six by Brazil's Santos, Argentina's Estudiantes, and Peru's Real Garcilaso.
At Sucre, Bolivia:
After dropping a game-two 4-0 regulation decision to Jorge Wilstermann, leveling the series at 4-4 on aggregate, and with overtime dispensed with, Vasco da Gama, thanks to spot goals from Andres Rios, Yago Picachu, and Wellington Martins, won the penalty-kick shootout 3-2 to advance to the group stage.
