MLS: Herons Knock Off Lions For First Win; Galaxy Take Freeway Derby; Five Stripes, RSL Win Too

Four Major League Soccer contests were on the agenda for Saturday.

At Los Angeles:

Ethan Zubak (26') and Sebastian Lletget (54') each scored once as the Los Angeles Galaxy blanked the Los Angeles Football Club 2-0 on the road in the latest edition of the Freeway Derby.

At Atlanta:

Pity Martinez scored both goals (40', 87') in Atlanta United's 2-0 home blanking of Nashville SC.

At Fort Lauderdale, Florida:

Julian Carranza scored twice (12', 23') while Rodolfo Pizarro scored the game winner in the 49th minute as Inter Miami picked up their first-ever victory, 3-2 over visiting Orlando City.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Damir Kreilach (57'), Mikael Chang (76'), Corey Baird (85'), and Justin Meram (89') each scored once as Real Salt Lake overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit with a four-goal second-half barrage and tamed the Colorado Rapids 4-1 on the road.
