Miguel Sabah scored twice in the second half (65', 75') as  Monarcas Morelia defeated the New England Revolution 2-1 Wednesday night to win the North American SuperLiga championship.

SuperLiga: Morelia To Get Crack At Title

At Houston:

Miguel Sabah scored the only goal of the match at 47 minutes as Monarcas Morelia defeated the Houston Dynamo 1-0 on the road in a North American SuperLiga semifinal match that was played on Thursday.

The Mexican club will take on the New England Revolution in the final at Foxborough, Massachusetts sometime between August 24 and 26.

SuperLiga: Revs Win PK Shootout To Reach Final

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

After a 1-1 deadlock through regulation time (there was no overtime), the New England Revolution, with Shalrie Joseph, Matt Reis, Chris Tierney, Pat Phelan, and, having scored at 56 minutes of regulation, Kenny Mansally all having converted their penalty kicks, won the shootout 5-3 over visiting Puebla on Wednesday to reach the final of the North American SuperLiga.  The championship match will take place on August 23 with the Revs taking on the winner of the Houston Dynamo-Monarcas Morelia semifinal, which will be played on Thursday night.

SuperLiga: Dynamo Top Puebla To Win Group A; Both Clubs Advance To Semis

Group stage play in the North American SuperLiga concluded on Wednesday with two games played in Group A.

At Houston:

Dominic Oduro scored the only goal of the match as the Houston Dynamo defeated visiting Puebla 1-0 to finish atop Group A.  Both teams advanced to the semifinal round.

At Carson, California:

Giancarlo Maldonado's goal at 7 minutes held up as Chivas USA defeated visiting Pachuca 1-0.

Action in Group B in the North American SuperLiga concluded with two games on Tuesday night.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Marko Petrovic scored the only goal of the match at 62 minutes as the New England Revolution defeated visiting Morelia 1-0. Despite the loss, the visiting Mexican club still advanced to the semifinal round.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

William Conde scored the only goal of the match at 35 minutes as the Chicago Fire, already eliminated from the tournament, defeated UNAM Pumas 1-0 and eliminated the Mexico City-based club in the process.

SuperLiga: Dynamo And Goats Draw; Puebla Lock Up Semifinal Berth

Two games were played on Sunday in the North American SuperLiga, both contests involving the four teams in Group A and both were played at Houston.

In the opener, the Houston Dynamo and Chivas USA battled to a 1-1 stalemate.  Lovel Palmer scored at 6 minutes for the Dynamo, but Jesus Padilla's equalizer at 71 minutes tied the game and kept the Goats' slim hopes of advancing to the semifinal round alive.

In the nightcap, Mario Ortiz scored twice (67', 75') as Puebla defeated Pachuca 3-1 to clinch a berth in the semifinal round and eliminate the recently-crowned CONCACAF Champions League titlists.

SuperLiga: Revs Advance To Semis By Eliminating Fire; Pumas And Morelia Draw

The North American SuperLiga continued on Saturday with two games in Group B, both taking place at Bridgeview, Illinois.

In the opening contest, Marko Perovic scored the game's only goal at 77 minutes as the New England Revolution clinched a berth in the semifinal round with a 1-0 win over the Chicago Fire, eliminating the hosts from contention in this tournament.

In the nightcap, Leandro Augusto (68') and Javier Cortes (85') provided the second-half scoring that erased a two-goal deficit and gain for UNAM Pumas a 2-2 draw with Morelia.  Luis Gabriel Rey (2') and Hugo Droguett (53') staked Monarcas to their ill-fated two-goal lead with a goal apiece.

Goals from Nicolas Olivera (6') and Alvaro Fabian Gonzalez (62') enabled Puebla to hold off hosts Chivas USA 2-1.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Elias Hernandez (4'), Luis Rey (34'), Miguel Sabah (40'), Rafael Marquez (50'), and Jaime Lozano (70') each scored a goal as Monarcas Morelia buried the homestanding Chicago Fire 5-1.
