After a 1-1 deadlock through regulation time (there was no overtime), the New England Revolution, with Shalrie Joseph, Matt Reis, Chris Tierney, Pat Phelan, and, having scored at 56 minutes of regulation, Kenny Mansally all having converted their penalty kicks, won the shootout 5-3 over visiting Puebla on Wednesday to reach the final of the North American SuperLiga. The championship match will take place on August 23 with the Revs taking on the winner of the Houston Dynamo-Monarcas Morelia semifinal, which will be played on Thursday night.
