SuperLiga: Dynamo And Goats Draw; Puebla Lock Up Semifinal Berth

Two games were played on Sunday in the North American SuperLiga, both contests involving the four teams in Group A and both were played at Houston.

In the opener, the Houston Dynamo and Chivas USA battled to a 1-1 stalemate.  Lovel Palmer scored at 6 minutes for the Dynamo, but Jesus Padilla's equalizer at 71 minutes tied the game and kept the Goats' slim hopes of advancing to the semifinal round alive.

In the nightcap, Mario Ortiz scored twice (67', 75') as Puebla defeated Pachuca 3-1 to clinch a berth in the semifinal round and eliminate the recently-crowned CONCACAF Champions League titlists.
