Busy Sunday in Serie A

Eight games took place on Sunday in Italy's Serie A:

At Milan:

Andrea Pirlo (6') , Clarence Seedorf (35') , and Alberto Gilardino (78') provided the offensive punch as AC Milan bested visiting Reggina 3-1.

At Messina:

Alessandro Parisi's successful 90th-minute penalty kick lifted Messina to a 1-1 home draw with AS Roma.

At Bergamo:

Cristiano Doni's double (38', 45') was just part of an offensive barrage by Atalanta as the hosts routed Livorno 5-1.

At Palermo:

Goals from Andrea Caracciolo (32') and Cristian Zaccardo (75') lifted Palermo to a 2-0 home victory at the expense of Udinese.

At Cagliari:

Davide Suazo's successful penalty kick in the 16th minute was the only score of Cagliari Calcio's 1-0 home win over cellar-occupying Ascoli.

At Genoa:

Visiting Fiorentina and Sampdoria battled to a 0-0 draw.

At Verona:

Thanks to second-half tallies from Franco Semioli (58') and Sergio Pellissier (PK-64'), Chievo Verona came from behind to knock off visiting Catania Calcio 2-1.

At Rome:

Francesco Cozza's equalizer at 87 minutes enabled AC Siena to gain a 1-1 road deadlock versus Lazio.
