Lyon Stunned At Home By Bordueax

Nine games populated Wednesday's French Ligue 1 schedule:

At Lyon:

First-half goals courtesy of Pablo Francia (PK-3') and Johan Micoud (27') powered Bordeaux to a stunning 2-1 road victory over league-leading Lyon, who suffered their first home defeat of the league season.

At Marseille:

Franck Ribery's first-half double (8', 39') helped power Marseille to a 3-1 home triumph at AJ Auxerre's expense.

At Nice:

With Johan Elmander's goal at 24 minutes, Toulouse picked up a 1-0 road win over Nice.

At Lille:

Lille defeated visiting strugglers PSG 1-0 as Jean Makoun scored the game's lone goal at 75 minutes.

At Sochaux:

Homestanding Sochaux salvaged a 1-1 home draw with basement-occupying Sedan. Alvaro Santos scored the equalizer for the hosts at 63 minutes.

At Lorient:

Thanks to Rafik Saifi's goal (50'), the only one of the match, Lorient defeated visiting Lens 1-0.

At Troyes:

In a battle of clubs trying to avoid relegation, homestanding Troyes, with Gael Sanz scoring the game's lone tally (88'), defeated Nantes 1-0.

At Monte Carlo:

Jimmy Briand (50') and Etienne Didot (79') provided the scoring for Rennes in the visitors' 2-0 win over AS Monaco.

At Valenciennes:

Tulio De Melo's equalizer (89') enabled Le Mans to gain a 1-1 road draw with Valenciennes.
