On Friday, Major League Soccer awarded an expansion franchise to Seattle, which is slated to start playing at Qwest Field beginning in 2009, and will be part-owned by Microsoft co-founder (and Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trail Blazers owner) Paul Allen.
