Juan Aurich Take Battle Of Peruvian Clubs; Colo-Colo And Velez Sarsfield Draw; Nacional And Moriela Take Three Points Each

Group stage action in the Copa Libertadores resumed on Tuesday.

Group Three:

At Chiclayo, Peru:

In a battle of Peruvian clubs, four different goal scorers---Roberto Guizasola (24'), Luis Tejada (43'), Reimond Manco (58'), and Pedro Ascoy (86')---each scored once as Juan Aurich doubled up visiting Alianza Lima 4-2.

Group Six:

At Banfield, Argentina:

Sebastian Coates (34') and Gonzalo Godoy (41') each tallied once as Club Nacional of Uruguay defeated Banfield 2-0 on the road as the visitors now sit atop the Group Six standings with two games remaining.

At Morelia, Mexico:

Monarcas Morelia blanked visiting Deportivo Cuenca 2-1.  Both of the Mexican club's goals came courtesy of Jared Francisco Echavarria Borgetti (18', 26').

Group Seven:


At Santiago, Chile:


Santiago Silva's equalizer (90'+2) carried Velez Sarsfield to a 1-1 road stalemate with Colo-Colo.  Esteban Paredes scored in the 57th minute for the hosts who dropped two big points at home in this critical contest and blew a chance to move into first place in Group Seven with three games still to play.
