Copa Libertadores: Internacional Make The Strongest Look Puny; Win For Club Nacional (Paraguay); Defeat For Club Nacional (Uruguay); Goats Win

Five games were played on Tuesday as Copa Libertadores group-stage play resumed.


Group One:


At Porto Alegre, Brazil:


A hat trick from Leandro Damiao (6', 56', 72') helped carried Internacional to a 5-0 home demolition of The Strongest.


Group Two:


At Lanus, Argentina:


Mariano Pavone scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute as Lanus defeated visiting Emelec 1-0.


Group Five:


At Lima, Peru:


Jose Fernandez provided the game's lone tally in the 15th minute as Alianza Lima blanked visiting Club Nacional of Uruguay 1-0.


Group Six:


At Asuncion, Paraguay:


German Cano scored twice (PK-50', 72') as Club Nacional (Paraguay) downed visiting Deportivo Tachira 3-2.  Silvio Torales scored the game winner for the hosts in the 81st minute.


Group Seven:


At Zapopan, Mexico:


Carlos Fierro scored the only goal of the match in the 10th minute as Chivas de Guadalajara defeated visiting Defensor Sporting 1-0.
