UEFA Champions League: Napoli Top Benfica, Win Group; Besiktas To Europa League After Blowout Loss

Two games were played on Tuesday as action from Group B of the UEFA Champions League concluded.

At Kiev, Ukraine:

Artem Besyedin opened the scoring in the ninth minute as Dynamo Kiev had six goal scorers each tallying once as they destroyed visiting Besiktas 6-0 and knocked the nine-man Black Eagles out of the tournament and into the Europa League's Round of 32.  Here's Dynamo's Vitaliy Buyalskyi celebrating after scoring in the 32nd minute.

At Lisbon:

Dries Mertens scored the winning goal in the 79th minute as Napoli won the Group B title with a 2-1 road win over SL Benfica (whose Raul Jimenez is shown celebrating after scoring in the 87th minute), who will also be playing in the knockout stage.

Final Group B Standings:

1. Napoli (GP: 6; GD: +3; PTS: 11)
2. SL Benfica (GP: 6; GD: 0; PTS: 8)
3. Besiktas (GP: 6; GD: -5; PTS: 7)
4. Dynamo Kiev (GP: 6; GD: +2; PTS: 5)

Napoli and SL Benfica advanced to the Champions League's knockout stage while Besiktas qualified for the group stage of the Europa League.
