PIPPO'S PAIR PROPELS ROSSONERI PAST REDS FOR UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CROWN THUS AVENGING 2005 DEFEAT


At Athens, Greece:

AC Milan won their seventh European
club championship on Wednesday night, capturing the UEFA Champions League crown by defeating Liverpool 2-1, avenging their 2005 loss at Istanbul. Filippo Inzaghi (pictured here, celebrating his first goal,; photo © Getty Images) scored both of Milan's goals (45', 82') while Dirk Kuyt scored the lone Liverpool goal in the 89th minute.
