At Barcelona:
Ronadinho's goal at 2 minutes held up as Barcelona kept pace with Real Madrid as the hosts defeated Getafe 1-0, in spite of the aforementioned Ronnie getting red-carded out of the game late in the first half.
At Valencia:
Diego Forlan scored twice (35', 87') and Jon Dahl Tomasson once (79') as Villarreal knocked Valencia out of the La Liga title race, and moved past Atletico Madrid into a UEFA Cup berth with their 3-2 road win.
