At Zaragoza:
With four goal scorers tallying once apiece, Real Zaragoza held off visiting Athletic Bilbao 4-3, dispite a hat trick from the visitors' Aritz Aduriz (35', PK-74', 78').
At Seville:
Xisco Munoz scored the equalizer during second-half stoppage time enabled Real Betis to gain a 1-1 home draw with cellar-dwelling Gimnastic de Terragona, placing the guests on the cusp of relegation.
