Eddie Johnson Hat Tricks Powers KC Win At New England

Five games occupied the Saturday Major League Soccer schedule:

At Foxboro, Massachusetts:

Eddie Johnson's hat trick (26', 38', 82') helped power the Kansas City Wizards to a 4-3 road win over the New England Revolution. The win placed the third-place within one point of a first-place tie in the Eastern Conference.

At Washington:

Christian Gomez (4') and Ben Olsen (27') provided the scoring that lifted DC United to their third straight win, a 2-1 home decision over the Houston Dynamo.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Hercules Gomez provided the lone goal (71') in the Colorado Rapids' 1-0 home win against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Visiting Toronto FC and the Columbus Crew played to a 2-2 stalemate. Andy Herron scored both of the Crew's goals (2', 36') while Danny Dichio (27') and Jim Brennan (49') provided the Toronto tallies.

At Carson, California:

After a scoreless first half, Chivas USA, thanks to second-half goals from Maykel Galindo (50') and Ante Razov (90'), defeated high-flying (and still Western Conference-leading) FC Dallas at home 2-0.
