In the lone Thursday Major League Soccer match, David Beckham made his belated MLS debut, playing the final 21 minutes. But it was DC United, spoiling David's debut, by defeating the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0, thanks to Luciano Emilio's goal at 27 minutes.
