Copa Libertadores: Everyone In Group Three Still Alive; Union Espanola Eliminated

Six games were contested on Wednesday as group stage action in the Copa Libertadores continued.


Group Three:


At Montevideo, Uruguay:


Santiago Garcia scored both goals (50', 67') as Club Nacional blanked visiting Fluminense 2-0.


At Mexico City:


Club America, thanks to goals from Vincente Vouso (73') and Daniel Marquez (82'), came from behind to edge visiting Argentinos Juniors 2-1.

Louis Pena (34') and Josef Martinez (83') each scored once as Caracas FC eliminated Union Espanola from the tournament with a 2-1 win on the road.


Group Five:


At San Cristobal, Venezuela:


Roberto Nanni (20') and Ivan Torres (65') each tallied once as Cerro Porteno placed Deportivo Tachira on the cusp of elimination with a 2-0 road win .


At Santos, Brazil:


Elano (34'), Danilo (36'), and Neymar (52') each scored a goal as Santos defeated visiting Colo Colo 3-2.

Antonio Salazar scored the lone goal of the match (55') as Jaguares moved up to second place in Group Six with a 1-0 home win over Internacional.
