The quarterfinal round of the African Nations Cup concluded with two games on Sunday, both being played in Gabon.
At Libreville:
After a game that was deadlocked at 1-1 after 120 minutes, Cheick Biabate (who scored at 84 minutes in regulation time), Mustapha Yatabare, Cedric Kante, Bakaye Traore, and Seydou Keita all converted their spot kicks as Mali won the penalty-kick shootout with co-hosts Gabon 5-4 to advance to the semifinal round.
At Franceville:
Andre Ayew scored the game-winning goal in overtime (101') as Ghana defeated Tunisia 2-1.
Both semifinal match will take place this coming Wednesday as Zambia will take on Ghana in Bata, Equatorial Guinea and Mali battles Ivory Coast in Libreville, Gabon.
The winner meet in next Sunday's final at Libreville, Gabon.
