The second and final week of the third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying got under way with seven games played on Tuesday.
At Tel Aviv, Israel:
Fabian Schar (PK-5'), Mohamed Salah (32'), and Marcelo Diaz (34') each scored a first-half goal as FC Basel, despite blowing a three-goal lead on the road, still gained a 3-3 game-two draw with Maccabi Haifa and won their two-match series with the Israeli club 4-3 on aggregate.
At Bucharest, Romania:
Iasmin Latovlevici scored in the seventh minute as Steaua Bucharest gained a 1-1 game-two home draw with Dinamo Tbilisi, good enough to win their two-match series 3-1 on aggregate.
At Maribor, Slovenia:
Despite being held to a 0-0 game-two home stalemate by ten-man APOEL FC, NK Maribor, with the aggregate score at 1-1, won their two-match series with the Cypriot club on away goals.
At Tirana, Albania:
Sergei Khizhnichenko (38') and Maksat Baizanov (67') each scored a goal as FC Shakhter Karagandy, despite dropping a 3-2 game-two decision on the road to Skenderbeu Korce, still won their two-match series 5-3 on aggregate.
At Belgrade, Serbia:
Hristo Zlatinski's successful penalty kick in the 88th minute provided all the scoring in PFC Ludogorets Razgrad's 1-0 game-two road win Partizan Belgrade, enabling the Bulgarian club to take the series 3-1 on aggregate.
At Istanbul, Turkey:
Raul Meireles (8'), Moussa Sow (17'), and Pierre Webo (34') each tallied once in a dominating first half as Fenerbahce defeated visiting FC Red Bull Salzburg 3-1 in game two and won their series 4-2 on aggregate.
At Zurich, Switzerland:
Clement Grenier scored the only goal of the match 82nd minute as Lyon posted a second stright 1-0 win over Grasshoppers, this time on the road as the French club took the series 2-0 on aggregate.
