At Kansas City, Kansas:
In the lone Friday Major League Soccer contest, Jermaine Jones scored his first MLS goal in the 85th minute to carry the New England Revolution (who had blown a two-goal advantage) to a 3-2 road victory over Sporting Kansas City.
The victory lifted the Revs into second place in the Eastern Conference standings (both New England and SKC are level on points with 45, but the Revs have more wins, 14-13), three points behind conference-leading DC United.
