Bradley Wright-Phillips (PK-11') and Theirry Henry (52') delivered the goals as the New York Red Bulls held off visiting Sporting Kansas City 2-1, stretching the visitors' losing streak to four games, their longest in three years.
At Houston:
Giles Barnes scored twice (30', 62') while Ricardo Clark scored the winning goal in the 65th minute as the Houston Dynamo defeated the visiting Montreal Impact 3-2.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
The Vancouver Whitecaps and visiting DC United battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
At Sandy, Utah:
Alvaro Saborio scored the winning goal in the 77th minute as Real Salt Lake defeated visiting FC Dallas 2-1.
