Four games were played on Sunday as the opening round of CONCACAF-regional qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup continued.
At Devonshire, Bermuda:
Nahki Wells scored twice (79', 87') as Bermuda scored all their goals during a nine-minute stretch in the final 15 minutes as they dominated visiting Bahamas 3-0 in game two and finished their two-match beatdown of the Baha Boyz 8-0 on aggregate. The Gombey Warriors will take on Guatemala in the second qualifying round.
At Roseau, Dominica:
A 0-0 game-two home stalemate was good enough for Dominica as they ousted the British Virgin Islands 3-2 on aggregate and earned a shot in the second qualifying round against Canada.
At The Valley, Anguilla:
Raul Leguias scored twice (21', 67') as Nicaragua dominated Anguilla 3-0 on the road in game two and completed their two-match annihilation 8-0 on aggregate. Next up for La Azul y Blanco, a two-match series with Suriname in the second qualifying round.
At George Town, Cayman Islands:
Elroy Kuylen delivered the series-winning goal in the 20th minute as Belize gained a 1-1 game-two road draw with the Caymen Islands and, with the aggregate score at 1-1, advanced to the second qualifying round on away goals. Next up for the Jaguars will be a two-game series with the Dominican Republic.
