In a contest played in Mali due to the Ebola outbreak in Guinea, AS Kaloum gained a 1-1 game-two draw with Sewe Sport and ousted the Ivorian club 3-2 on aggregate.
At N'Djamena, Chad:
Despite a 3-1 second-game road defeat at the hands of Foullah Edifice, USM Alger still won their two-game series 4-3 on aggregate.
At Mbuji-Mayi, Democratic Republic of the Congo:
A 2-0 home victory over Recreativo do Libolo in game two enabled SM Sanga Balende, with the aggregate score at 3-3, to advance to the first round proper on away goals.
At Bafia, Cameroon:
Cosmos de Bafia overcame their series-opening 1-0 road defeat with a 3-0 game-two home win over Kampala City Council and took out the Ugandan club 3-1 on aggregate.
At Sokode, Togo:
A 1-0 home win in game two over Sony Ela Nguema enabled AC Semassi to win their two-match series 2-1 on aggregate.
At Addis Ababa, Ethiopia:
Despite dropping a 2-1 game-two road decision to Saint George SC, MC El Eulma of Algeria still won their series on away goals with the aggregate score at 2-2.
At Cotonau, Benin:
Andrew Abalgou scored the only goal of the match in the 50th minute as Enyimba International FC took game two 1-0 on the road over Buffles du Borgou and won their two-game series 4-0 on aggregate.
At Miarinarivo, Madagascar:
Despite dropping a 3-2 game-two road decision to CNaPS Sport, Gor Mahia, with the aggregate score at 3-3, still won their series on away goals.
The date of the scheduled second match between Barrack Young Controllers and Real Banjul from The Gambia is still to be determined as the second game will be moved from BYC's home country of Liberia due to concerns over the Ebola outbreak.
