MLS: Lions, Citizens, LAFC (In Home Debut) Garner Sunday Wins

Three games were contested in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Yoshi Yotun's successful penalty kick produced the game-winning goal in the 77th minute as Orlando City tied a franchise record with their fifth straight victory, a come-from-behind 2-1 road triumph over the Colorado Rapids.

At New York:

David Villa scored twice (PK-36', 66') as New York City handed visiting Dallas FC their first defeat of the season, 3-1.

At Los Angeles:

Laurent Ciman scored the first goal in Banc of California Stadium history in the third minute of second-half stoppage time as the Los Angeles Football Club won their home opener 1-0 over the Seattle Sounders.

OFC Champions League: It's Team Wellington vs. Lukatoa For The Marbles

The semifinal round of the OFC Champions League concluded with two games on Sunday.

At Honiara, Solomon Islands:

Praneel Naidu scored the only goal of the match in the 64th minute as Lautoka knocked off Marist 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Auckland, New Zealand:

Eric Molloy (37') and Angus Kilkolly (PK-42') each scored once as Team Wellington held on for a game-two 2-2 road draw with Auckland City, and, with the aggregate scored also at 2-2, eliminated the seven-time defending champions on away goals.



Both games of the OFC Champions League will be contested next month, with the opening match in Wellington, New Zealand, and the return contest at Lautoka, Fiji.

The winner would advance to December's FIFA Club World Cup, to be contested in the United Arab Emirates.

MLS: Five Stripes, Philly, Crew, Revs, Loons, Red Bulls Pick Up Saturday Wins

Seven games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Atlanta:

Miguel Almiron (PK-70', 84') and Kevin Kratz (78', 90'+4) each scored twice in the final half four as Atlanta United easily overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit and manhandled the visiting Montreal Impact 4-1.

At Toronto:

Bastian Schweinsteiger (69') and Alan Gordon (90'+4) each scored a goal in the final half-hour as the Chicago Fire came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 road draw with Toronto FC.

Jonathan Osorio (8') and Victor Vazquez (22') each scored once for the Reds.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Borek Dockal scored the game winner in the 72nd minute as the Philadelphia Union defeated visiting DC United 3-2.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Mike Grella scored the winning goal in the 84th minute as the Columbus Crew defeated the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 3-2.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Teal Bunbury's goal in the 44th minute provided all the scoring as the New England Revolution knocked off Sporting Kansas City 1-0 at home.

At Minneapolis:

Darwin Quintero (PK-40') and Ibson (70') delivered the goals as Minnesota United spotted an early deficit and upended the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-1.

At Carson, California:

Kaku's successful penalty kick in the 84th minute proved to be the game winner as the New York Red Bulls knocked off the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-2 on the road.

GOATS SURVIVE REDS RALLY, WIN PK SHOOTOUT TO CLAIM CONCACAF CLUB TITLE (ANOTHER ONE FOR MEXICO)

At Guadalajara, Mexico:

In Wednesday's second game of the CONCACAF Champions League Final, after dropping a 2-1 regulation decision at home to Toronto FC (thanks to goals from Jozy Altidore and Sebastian Giovinco), thus squaring the series at 3-3 on aggregate (and with overtime dispensed with), Chivas de Guadalajara, with spot kicks successfully converted by Oswaldo Alanis, Jose de Jesus Godinez, Alan Pulido, and Angel Zaldivar, won the penalty-kick shootout 4-2 to win their first continental club championship since 1962 (their second overall) and will represent CONCACAF in December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to be contested in the United Arab Emirates.

Goals from Laurent Ciman (24'), Benny Feilhaber (52'), Jukka Raitala (OG-57'), Carlos Vela (PK-83'), and Latif Blessing (89') enabled the Los Angeles Football Club to overcome a 3-1 halftime deficit to overcome the Montreal Impact 5-3 on the road.

Ignacio Piatti's first-half hat trick (9', PK-16', 43') provided all the scoring for the hosts.

At Houston:

Mauro Manotas (3') Leonardo (7'), Eric Alexander (46'), Alberth Elis (60'), and Romell Quioto (77') each scored once as the Houston Dynamo destroyed visiting Toronto FC 5-1.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Aleksandar Katai (30') and Nemanja Nikolic (69') each scored once as the Chicago Fire held off the New York Red Bulls 2-1 on the road.

CONCACAF Champions League Final: Goats Take Series Opener In Toronto

At Toronto:

In Tuesday's opening match of the CONCACAF Champions League final, Rodolfo Pizarro (2') and Alan Pulido (72') each scored once as Chivas de Guadalajara knocked off Toronto FC 2-1 on the road.
