CAF Champions League

Group-stage play in the CAF Champions League continued on Saturday with six games.

GROUP A:

At Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

Chico Ushindi (59') and Jackson Muleka (68') each scored once as TP Mazembe defeated visiting Primeiro de Agosto 2-1 to lock up a berth in the quarterfinal round.

GROUP B:

At Bulawayo, Zimbabwe:

Marwan Mohsen's equalizer in the 52nd minute lifted Al-Ahly to a 1-1 road draw with FC Platinum.

Stanley Ngala scored for the now-eliminated hosts in the 19th minute.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

Iheb Msakni scored the winning goal in the 71st minute as Etoile du Sahel knocked off Al-Hilal Omdurman 2-1 on the road.

At Pretoria, South Africa:

Sibusio Vilakazi scored the game winner in the first minute of first-half stoppage time as Mamelodi Sundowns defeated visiting USM Alger 2-1 to clinch a berth in the quarterfinal round.

At Luanda, Angola:

Kazadi Kasegnu (14') and Yahya Jabrane (PK-58') each scored once to carry Wydad Casablanca to a 2-2 road draw with Petro de Luanda.

Herenilson (21') and Dany (45'+1) each scored once for the hosts.

Group C Standings:

1. x-Mamelodi Sundowns (GP: 4; GD: +5; PTS: 10)
2.    Wydad Casablanca (GP: 4; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
3.    USM Alger (GP: 4; GD: -1; PTS: 2)
