CAF Champions League

Five games were played in the group stage of the CAF Champions League on Saturday.

GROUP A:

At Ndola, Zambia:

Manuel David Afonso's equalizer in the 69th minute lifted CD Primeiro de Agosto to a 1-1 road deadlock with ZESCO United.

Winston Kalengo scored for the Zambian club in the 50th minute.

NOTE:  With both clubs level on head-to-head goal difference (0), head-to-head goals scored (2), overall goal differential (-3), and overall goals scored (3), CD Primeiro de Agosto held the tiebreaker on overall road goals scored (2-1) vis a viv ZESCO United.



GROUP B:

At Bulawayo, Zimbabwe:

Mohamed Eldai scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute as Al-Hilal Omdurman defeated already-eliminated FC Platinum 1-0 on the road.



GROUP C:

At Luanda, Angola:

Leandro Sirino (PK-23') and Motjeka Madisha (90'+1) each scored once for Mamelodi Sundowns as the South African club gained a 2-2 road draw with Petro de Luanda.

Ricardo Job (PK-41') and Jacques Tuyisenge (71') each scored once for the hosts.

GROUP D:

At Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

Djuma Shabani (PK-24'), Yannick Bengala (55'), Ernest Luzolo (67'), and Fiston Mayele (70') each scored once as AS Vita Club dominated visiting JS Kabylie 4-1.

At Rades, Tunisia:

Abdelraouf Benguit (32') and Fedi Ben Choug (81') each scored once to lift Esperance de Tunis to a 2-2 home draw with Raja Casablanca, enabling the hosts to lock up top spot in Group D.

Fabrice Ngah (49') and Badr Banoun (67') each tallied once for the Moroccan club, who locked up a berth in the quarterfinal round.
