MLS Is Back Tournament; SKC Knock Off RSL To Gain Berth In Knockout Stage; Cincy In Round of 16 Too After Blanking Red Bulls; Rapids and Loons Draw

At Bay Lake, Florida:

Three games are set to be contested on Wednesday as the MLS is Back Tournament continues at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

GROUP D:

Game #1:

Johnny Russell (1') and Gerso Fernandez (86') each scored once as Sporting Kansas City blanked Real Salt Lake 2-0 to advance to the knockout stage, alongside their opponents.

Game #2:

Kei Kamara (19') and Jonathan Lewis (59') each scored once as the Colorado Rapids exited the tournament after gaining a 2-2 draw with Minnesota United.

Ethan Finlay scored both goals for the knockout stage-bound Loons in the 36th and 43rd minutes.

Final Group D Standings:

2. Minnesota United FC (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 5)

Sporting Kansas City, Minnesota United, and Real Salt Lake advanced to the knockout stage with Colorado eliminated.



GROUP E:

Yuya Kubo (43') and Florian Valot (OG-56') each scored once as FC Cincinnati advanced to the knockout stage by blanking the New York Red Bulls 2-0.
